We’ve recieved lots of questions in the past about how we got started and about our educational backgrounds, so here it is!
Chrissy Misso (owner/teacher) & the Studio 
Chrissy is originally from Rochester, MN (she graduated from Century!), went out west to Lewis & Clark College in Portland, OR--graduating with a B.A. in Music Composition & Education and Biochemistry/Molecular Biology. She has also completed a Masters in Education from Concordia University--Portland.
Chrissy started teaching in Rochester over 10 years ago!! In 2016, Chrissy joined the Minnesota Music Teachers’ Association and Music Teacher National Association in order to offer competition opportunities to students, although competitions are not the focus of the studio.
While Chrissy has high expectations for every student, she tries to make lessons fun: students help pick some of their music—we aim for 3 “projects” each year, studio classes let students be more social, games and technology keep learning fresh!
Typically, there is a recital each spring and a public holiday music share each December at a local "Old Folks" home, but COVID has made us change some plans. 
When Chrissy isn't working on studio stuff, she is crafting (crochet, sewing, card-making), baking, singing, hiking (working on the Minnesota Hiking Club Book!), and hanging out with the coolest one-year-old and five-year-old around!

Angie Misso, Teacher & Consultant
Angie provides Chrissy's Studio with business assistance, (occasionally) helps out with beginning piano, violin, and ukulele classes, and is taking intermediate ukulele with the other adult students! She graduated 
from Valparaiso University with a Bachelors degree in Business and a minor in English and is currently working on her MBA!
When not advising Chrissy or playing ukulele (it isn’t her day job, after all), Angie works at KAAL-TV, likes to paint and write, hike with Chrissy, and hangout with her kitties.
